Greetings from Elephant Hills Luxury Tented Camp – Khao Sok,
Southern Thailand!

As I am sure you are all aware over the past few weeks Thailand has
seen protests in certain areas of Bangkok. This last week however has
seen the beginning of a return to normality for the population of Bangkok
with many people being able to go about their normal daily lives as of this
Week. Last weekend saw many local Bangkokians joining with the army
and police to help clear and clean the streets of the rubbish left behind
after the demonstrations. Schools, banks and business opened their
doors yesterday and an air of optimism lies in the city. We at Elephant
Hills have been following the protests very carefully from our head office
in Phuket and at our camp in Khao Sok and Just to reassure you about
your clients travel plans to Thailand, not once did the protesters get near
to Suvarnabhumi airport, the main hub within Thailand and Bangkok.

The majority of flights at Suvarnabhumi were on schedule and unaffected
by the protests and this combined with the fact that Phuket ( the closest
international airport to Elephant Hills ) has direct international flights
means it is also possible to reach us directly via Phuket airport or transfer
through from Bangkok with no problems.

Elephant Hills will pick guests up from their hotel or at the airport in either, Phuket, Khao Lak, Surat Thani,
Krabi and Phang Nga. This is included in our package price and you can transfer forward to either of these
destinations. No protests or disturbance have occurred or are expected throughout the south of Thailand
and we are operating all tours as normal with no disruption. The south of Thailand remains a safe place to
visit for your client’s holidays. Should you need any further advice please do not hesitate to let us know.
